Ganesh Chaturti (also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi), a major Hindu festival is observed in honour of the birhday, actually rebirth, of the Lord Ganesha. ie ; Lord of Wisdom Charturthi is observed for 10 days in Bhadra month that starts on the Shukla Chaturthi and ends on the Anant Chaturthi

People celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi festivalto seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is believed to obstacles from ones life. Hence, he is also known as "Vighna Harta". The Hindus staying in India or in any other country mainly observe Ganesh Chaturthi. In India, it is celebrated in Karnataka and Maharashtra and some part of Western and Southern India.

It is also widely celebrated by Hindus staying in United States, Singapore, Canada, Malaysia and Thailand, etc. Ganesh Chaturthi is the time whicj helps family and friends to have a gel-together from their busy schedule. This festival is starts with the installation of clay images of Lord Ganesha, in pandals or at homes. The worship of Lord Ganesha continues for several days. Thousands of devotees gather at various places to take part in the festive event. varieties of herbal plans and leaves are offered to Lord Ganesha. Devoteed take part in huge colourful processions with sound of cymbals and drums. This is a great day of rejoining for all, Dances and music add to the picturesqueness.

This year Chaturthi Festival, I and my family went to Sri Ganeshar Alayam, Kampung Pandan. For past 1 year I have been going to this temple for every special prayers like Maha Sangada Charturthi, Bhairavar Poojai, Navarathiri and more. The vibration around temple are beyond imagination. Without wasting the time with my old experience, ley me share with you the beautiful experience I had on Ganesha Chaturthi Festival. 10 Days Ganesha Chaturthi Festival was held at Sri Ganeshar Alayam temple, The 10 days start from 27th August 2016 until 5th September 2016, in this 10 days there was special pooja's on morning and evening, Annathanam, Dance Performance, Nadaswaram Performance and the most special are 10 Vaahana's for Lord Ganesha. Come lets see how beautiful Lord Ganesh on his vaahana's.

During the 10 days of festival, Lord Ganesha was on this 10 different Vaahana's. how beautiful was Lord Ganesha on the Vaahana's. The festival doesn't end with Special Vaahana's there was also special performance such as Nadhaswaram by Thiruannamalai Brothers from Tamil Nadu , their performance was wonderful during the Lord Ganesha Oorvalam viewing the beautiful moment of devotees caring swamy pallaku. When the moment of Lord Ganesha Oorvalam time, I imaged that Ganesha seating on the Pallaku and enjoying the music of Nadaswaram. I would like to share few pictures on the festival with you all.

"Annathanam" my mother always tells me, 

"Thanathil Sirentha Thanam Annathanam". 

not only my mother tells that even all elder people tells that . It doesn't matter what you give to other Money / Clothes but the most effective bless is from Annathanam. we also have annathanam after all prayers for all devotees who came for prayers two pooja each day morning and evening,  Lets see some pictures of Annathanam section of 4th September 2016 

There also some volunteers of temple help to serve food on annathanam, not only th ecolunteers even our Sunday School student help us to serve food for devotees.
